Centrifuges

The Z206-A Compact Centrifuge is appropriate for a wide range of applications in both clinical and research settings. Three angle rotor configurations are offered, allowing for usage with all typical tube diameters ranging from 0.2ml to 50ml. A unique 6 x 5ml swing out rotor is also available for clinical applications that need horizontal separation inside 5ml blood collection tubes. The powerful microprocessor controls include an ergonomic turn knob that controls all settings (time, speed, acceleration/decel levels, and so on). The popular 50ml and 15ml rotors have adjustable speeds ranging from 200 rpm to 6,000 rpm (equivalent to 4,427 xg).

The centrifuge lid has an automated lid lock that prevents it from being opened while the rotor is still in motion. Furthermore, a novel imbalance detection mechanism is designed to immediately turn off the motor in the case of inappropriate rotor loading or tube breakage.
